November 10, 2013 Motorcycle Run, Arcata to Eureka
This years run left the Veterans Center in Arcata on time on our way to the cemetery in Eureka. On arrival we assembled near the Flag Pole which has been refurbished. Near the Flag Pole are the headstones of veterans going back as far as the Spanish American War.

September 25, 2013 Today marks the arrival of Jackson Scott Harris.
At 1:25 this afternoon my 5th grand child, the third by my daughter and her first boy, arrived. I will let the pictures describe the event as I was too busy grinning and taking pictures.

The Westhaven Fire Department was doing a fund raiser for new equipment and operating expenses. Lots of vendors and great blackberry pie and jam.

July 28, 2013 Harbor Tour
Took the Harbor Tour with Tisha, Jeremy and Elisabeth on the Manaket. This tour went up through Arcata Bay and is a nice way to spend the morning.

July 20, 2013 Cha-GAH-Cho, McKinleyville,CA
Went to see the Cha-GAH-Cho Land Trust property. It sits behind the K-Mart and has some forest and meadow. They are trying to develop a trail system so that all can enjoy the property and the view.

July 13, 2013 Orick, CA Rodeo
Drove 35 miles north to take a look at the Rodeo in Orick. A good crowd showed up and there was lots of food, I had a chili bowel. The Rodeo started with the Grand Entrance with lots of flags and pretty girls. The first event was "sheep riding" by the little kids followed by "calf riding" by the older kids. Now it is time for the cowboys. There was calf roping, and team roping then bronc riding and barrel racing. It was a fun time for all.

May 5, 2013 USO Car Show at Ontario Airport.
Didn't really know what to expect at this event. It turned out to be a lot bigger than I thought it would. It was fun seeing some of the and th cars that I learned to drive in and owned. Not sure what it means when a car you thought was almost new is now a classic?
