Little Big Horn National Monument

Aug 18:  I had to go and see where General Custer made his last stand.  It is only 6 miles down the road from the campground in Garryowen where  the battle was fought.  The 7th Cavalry lost 263 men while the Indians lost 100.  Headstones are scattered throughout the monument wherever the men fell.  It is all low hills with some gullies and no place to find cover for either side.
