Bob and Bev arrived on the 8th and we explored New England for a couple of days taking in the fall colors.

Boston colors

The colors are fantastic and we had a great couple of days.  They are expecting snow in Buffalo on Friday so we cut our stay in Boston short and leave for Fish Creek Landing a day early.

Here we are back near Boston.  Tisha did her magic again, missed the plane and arrived two hours early!  Don't know how she does it.

Yesterday, while having breakfast in Gloucester, I turned around and Mikie and Vinnie from American Choppers had just walked in and ordered coffee.  They have a TV show building custom motorcycles and were in town to go "lobstering".  I didn't expect to see celebs in this small diner.

The family went to Salem to find out about the witches and then to an apple orchard.

Dedication of the Gloucester WWII Memorial.  One of the sailors that was there felt compelled to tell me that his grandfather had also been on the USS Coral Sea!  Just what I needed to hear.

They played each of the service songs and had the vets stand for their song.  I noticed one WWII Marine Vet in particular.  I doubt that he has stood that straight, tall and proud in years.  Once a Marine, always a Marine.

After the dedication, I went to JB and Julies where the clan gathered for some JB BBQ magic.  Lunch was great and we got to play with Isabelle.

I went back to the campground and arrived in time for the "fireworks in the park" celebration.  They put on a good show until one of the neighbors dropped by and complained about the noise disturbing her animals.  I wonder where she was the night before when the fireworks went on until almost midnight.

The St Peter Festival is in full swing this week in Gloucester and I managed to catch a few of the highlights.

Arrived in Boston and set up camp.  JB came out to the campground and took me out to a lobster dinner at The Gull Restaurant, overlooking the bay.  Julie had to go to her graduation and couldn't be there.

On Saturday JB and Julie came out and we went to the Gull for breakfast then over to there house where they grilled sirloin tips for dinner and we watched soccer.  On Sunday we went to Providence for dinner with the Crowley clan.
